So, it's confirmed that Steven Moffat is taking over from RTD next year. I'm cautiously optimistic about this - he's certainly done some of the
best work for the new series. But then, I was optimistic about RTD, and the TV series is no Damaged Goods. Hopefully Moffat will be better at balancing the
quality SF and family-friendly fun. It's not likely to improve the chances of getting Lawrence Miles commissioned, though 8)

Ohmigod this means ER is coming to an end! RTD leaves after 4 years on the show? I bet the year after, David Tennant leaves after 4 years on the show too, then

A good choice of successor. I can't see a massive change of tone on the cards.
A new actor as ER and stop characters crying every fucking week for no particular reason are my only requests, Mr M. Oh, and get Cornell and Shearman back. |

Generally agree it seems a good choice, excepted I hated Coupling more than anything else ever. An end to characters getting in touch with their fucking
feelings every five bloody minutes would also be nice. And less crap music. And definitely KEEP Catherine Tate!
