They tend to fall into two categories: random collections of sketches and The Life of Brian. Holy Grail seems to be two different movies told at the same time a historical movie about King Arthur and a historical recreation about King Arthur with both versions blending together in the surreal charge on the grail castle and their subsequent arrest by the police for murder...it almost seems proto-Faction as it mixes fiction and real life in one gian schmoz. The Life of Brian is of course one long rant against organised religions and humanities intrinsic need to perpetuate the autocratic status quo. The fundamental principle of Brian is to illustrate what happens when someone gets above themselves in a way that the existing authjorities cannot comprehend (and thus scares them) so they deal with the problem by removing it (in this case cruci-fiction) to rewrite history to serve the needs of the pre-existing centres of localised and indeed centralised authority. It's one of the most important films ever made not because it allegedly parodies Jesus (a character that does appear and is actually treated with respect) but because it tells a fundamental truth about humanity, they like being told what to do and by revealing this many groups who like telling people what to do are appalled and fearful that humanity will realise it and try to do something about it and evolve into posthumanity...so to liken it to the FP universe; the Romans can be see as the Homeworlders, the idea of ultimate freedom is the enemy and humanity is Brian up on the cross waiting to die in a most horrific way imaginable and the Faction are the aliens who whizz into the film half way, abduct Brian, show him the sun, the moon and the stars for a laugh and then return him back to Earth...
