Only for those that believe in the creation myth that is written in that particular book (and not those that believe in other creations myths).

The Gnostics were saying this 2,200 years ago, and I think they still are. (In the Gnostic mythology, the
creator of the universe we know is actually a mean, petty, jealous narcissist who wants to keep humanity docile and obedient - much like the Great Houses, come
to think of it.)

That's pretty interesting and ties into other stuff I've come across, particularly regarding how much of the Christian bible is a remix of older tales
from Egypt, Sumeria etcetera. Thanks a lot for posting that. I've taken the liberty of reposting it at "my own" place where no doubt it will be
greeted with mucho cackling and rubbing of the hands.

Well there are a lot of links between the story of Jesus and how demigods are created in Greek mythology - including the death/ressurection trope,
"christ" being a greek word, being the half-son of a god (unlike the Jewish messiah) and one of the gospels tracking his patrilineal geneology which
isn't normal for the jewish people (who are matrilineal) and it doesn't make sense (who cares what his father's ancestors were if he wasn't the
father?)
