Random Static Website Update |

Great news on the website, looks great! I've just ordered About Time 4+5, love the free postage to Australia. Eagerly awaiting any news on continuation
of the Faction Paradox novel series - will Random Static also be carrying Fluid Links when it is released by Mad Norwegian?

The site overhaul is certainly encouraging, isn't it?
Why would you do such a thing if you weren't expecting to publish more, new Faction books?
And where now for the man raised by puffins?

I think the only real problem with more FP novels is that quality authors don't like to work for free. So the best thing anyone can do to help RS make more
FP novels is to spawn more overlords buy more quality RS produce.

Oh, is that where that meme's from? No, "spawn more overlords" is one of the most cogent suggestions at the US Republican Party's "wtf do we do now, guiz?" site. I also approve of "hire more ninjas", "be more
gay", "carve backwards B onto own face, teach self lesson", and the favourite last I looked, "buy every red-blooded American a pair of
Truck Nutz". There's also a bunch of silly suggestions on there from Ron Paul fans.

I'm really hoping so and thought the same thing too. Cautiously optimistic we'll see another one

I've been a little down since the disappointing announcement yesterday of who they've chosen to be the next Evil Renegade. Ended up wasting away far too long meandering around the net, when I really should be working on an essay.
Still, what I've just stumbled across, which has cheered me up lots, is something from the Random Static website - I've no idea how long it's been there, but there's a question in their FAQ asking when the next book is coming out and they reply with "We can't say yet, but expect an announcement early in 2009."
Yey for (pretty much) confirmation there will be a second book! With the time gap I had been starting to have my doubts, but I'm happy to wait for a book of anywhere near the quality of Newtons Sleep. Wonder who it'll be? I'm hoping for SBJ myself, but will be happy with anyone good. |

There are definitely new books coming. I know this to be a fact.
But those who I know who know what's coming and when, won't tell me, no matter how much I plead when I am drunk. A small consolation. But it's nice to know they will appear at some point.
And where now for the man raised by puffins?

Ooooo! Just in time, I'm almost done with all the FP novels. Working my way through Erasing Sherlock at the mo' and will be starting Newtons Sleep in
the next couple of days or so.
So another book coming out would be awesome!
