I know it is probably too early to start discussing this, but are there any rumors or solid news about when/if we'll be seeing another Faction Paradox book
from Random Static, and who by? I suppose it's too much to hope for Lawrence himself to pen that "game changing" book that was rumored to be
coming from him several years ago?

There is a new audio drama coming out written by Lawrence, so he still does write for the Faction. I don't know who would approach whom in this
circumstance - the publisher or the creator of the mythos - with proposals or submissions.

Shortly before Random Static came on the scene, Simon Bucher-Jones seemed to be hinting that all hope was not lost for Nebairoth (sp?) so that may be somewhere
in the offing.
But maybe that's wishful thinking, I dunno. |

The best thing that any Dedicated Follower of the Faction can possibly do to make sure that a second Random Static FP novel comes out would be to buy, and
encourage others to buy, as many copies of the first as possible.

Good thoughts, nothing. Blood sacrifice, that's what the publishing loa want. I'm sure Jon Dennis, if he's around, can
confirm, since I assume that publishing works on similar principles to Hollywood. ;-)

We have a few projects in various stages of development, but nothing ready to announce just yet. It would certainly help to have a bit more buzz about Newtons
Sleep - post reviews, mention it in blog posts and on discussion forums, and so forth.

Ooh!
Newtons Sleep is now listed on UK Amazon. It claims to be unavailable, but at least it means those of us from the UK can review it there. (And I think, but I'm not sure, that such reviews might get picked up by the US branch in the absence of any of their own.) Now, if only the computer I'd started writing something review-like on hadn't packed in ... (it's currently at the repair shop, having the data rescued from its hard drive). |

I think a compilation of all the short fiction published in the charity anthologies and myth makers would make for a good book. Maybe include the entries that
didn't make it into the Book of the War, the excerpt of the original Ancestor Cell draft, maybe some story details and synopsis of where the series was
supposed to go, as well as some new short fiction and snapshots...
You could call it (jokingly) "Random Static" >_> |
