As announced over in "Briefings", Random Static in New Zealand has obtained the rights to publish FP novels and will be starting with a Daniel
O'Mahony novel called Newtons Sleep.
I think everyone here will agree that this is fantastic news, both in the general and specific senses.
The obvious questions (to me) are:
* early days, obviously, but any projected release date beyond "late 2007"? (though I'd fully understand a desire to follow the sensible MNP idea of avoiding premature announcements)
* how closely will Lawrence Miles be involved with these new projects?
* As an adorer of TOP5 and the truly cosmic scale of the bits of the Book of the War I tend to assume are his, I remain massively eager to see the SB-J book the possible existence of which keeps being hinted at; is that anywhere on Random Static's horizon?
* One assumes the lack of apostrophe in Newtons Sleep is intentional, but what does it mean?
Now do excuse me while I do some undignified dancing around the room for joy for the next hour or so.
